The Code of Practice on the Right of Trade Unions to Access Workplaces, issued by the Secretary of State under the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992, will come into force on 30 October 2026. The Code sets out the framework governing trade union representatives’ rights to enter workplaces for union activities and member engagement. This Order formally establishes the implementation date for the new guidance that will affect employers and trade unions across the UK.
